Inverness Medical Deutschland GmbH (IMD) is a clinical diagnostic company based in Cologne. It was founded primary as VIVA Diagnostika GmbH in 1995 by Dr. Willi Wegst und Bernd Stammel, who have been working in the field of medical diagnosis nearly 25 years. Our highly innovative quality products are distributed on clinical diagnostic and research markets as well as to private consumers. IMD serves more than 5.000 customers in the professional diagnostic market.
In June 2004 VIVA Diagnostika has become part of Inverness Medical Innovations Inc., a global leader and manufacturer in the field of Point-of-Care (POC) testing. Without any changes for our customers the company name has then amended into Inverness Medical Deutschland in January 2006.
IMD’s wide range of products covers the following diagnostic fields:
- POC testing (cardiovascular diseases, infecious diseases, pregnancy testing, drugs of abuse, etc.)
- Clinical Chemistry (pregnancy precaution, osteoporosis, etc.)
